Once you’ve sampled the culinary delights of South Korea, it’s really hard to go back. That’s why Shake Shack has decided to get on board. They’ve introduced a line of Korean-inspired dishes that are a must-try. This is exciting news coming from one of our favorite places to eat ever.

While Shake Shack is known for its ShackBurger and delicious Frozen Custard, those aren’t the only worthy options available at the Shack anymore. The company made quite the exciting announcement on Instagram, saying: “Our take on Korean-Style Fried Chick’n was such a hit at our Shacks in South Korea, we had to bring it to the US.”

Now, anyone who says anything about Korean food knows about Korean fried chicken. It’s a whole new KFC that is mind-blowingly delicious. How is it so tasty? Well, it is double fried for extra delicious crackly crispiness, and is then slathered in Korean sweet chili sauce. Not too shabby, huh? The sauce is made of soy sauce, tomato sauce, honey, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and gochujang, Korean chili paste.

So if you think like that sounds like something you want to eat, Shake Shack is making it possible in two forms: Korean-style friend chick’n bites or sandwich.

If you opt for the sandwich, you’ll enjoy a crispy chicken breast that’s glazed in gochujang sauce piled on top of Choi’s Kimchi Co.’s white kimchi slaw and sandwiched together in the classic Shake Shack potato roll.

The chicken bites are delicious nuggets of the same crispy chicken that comes with gochujang mayo to dip and enjoy. Also, don’t worry if you’re a lover of Shake Shack’s crinkle cut fries — of course you can get a side of those with your meal, make sure to dip them in the sauce!

It seems like we’re not the only ones who are excited for these new menu additions. Fans were quick to comment on the Instagram post, with user @mikexingchen saying: I will take some credit, I did eat about 10 while in South Korea,” who is thrilled to be able to try the delicious items Stateside as well.
