As the herd made its way across the river, there was a small baby in the group. It stumbled, falling into a muddy hole between the river and the land. The hole was so deep, this little elephant couldn’t climb out!

The herd immediately realized what happened and that the infant elephant was in grave danger. This caused them to become distressed. In fact, the hole was small enough that an adult couldn’t go in and help the youngster out!
