The Birds of America is a collection of hand painted watercolor prints or birds by James Audubon. The four volume book set includes 435 paintings. There are only four copies in existence. In a 2018 auction, one copy went for $10 million, bought by Carl W. Knobloch. Jr. He then gifted it to the Knobloch Family Foundation, which focuses its efforts on environmental causes.
